Thursday Thinkin'

Image
What a hell of a week.  No time to talk, just keeping on.  Not really that terrible in it's parts, but all put together - thinks have been pretty exhausting.  Here's my wah-wah...just thinking "out loud." The kids - wow, did anyone else experience any "transformations" due to the full moon??  My 9yo dear daughter has been the most resistant in school ...my 2yo has found is "screaming, whining voice," and if my 13yo calls me Mother one more time I'm going to prove to him that I'm still tougher than he is. The training - following the low volume triathlete plan from Racing Weight .  Excited to do some speed interval training on the bike and get in the water twice a week - but it's taking some getting used to.  A little different than just pounding the pavement and taking a spin on the bike each week.  Oh, and the weight training...yah. The house - what a mess.  Thank God for my husband...he does dishes and laundry and bathes kids. ...

School Supper and Shuttle

Yes, I am reduced to the cute kitty passed out in his bowl of food for this post. This is how I feel tonight. Today was a day in which I feel very blessed to be needed - and even more so that I can complete everything that everyone needed me to do. We started school today. The older kids did great - we completed our morning work early enough to have 20 extra minutes out doors. I made something simple for lunch and we even got to watch 40 minutes of TV during lunch. All praise God our Father, those 3 nappers took champion naps today and the big kids and I got down with some Math, Science, and Electi...

Too Busy for Friends

I've been thinking lately about what happens when you are to busy for friends. I am embarrassed to say that a friend called me two weeks ago and I haven't called her back yet. I think about her, I read her blog and check her "space" but I haven't made time to call her. Sad, really. I miss my friends, I really do. I think about them all the time. D has a teenaged daughter that I'm interested in how she's doing and a little guy getting ready to enter Kindergarten in the fall. A is pregnant with baby number two and actually called me earlier...I missed the call - I was folding laundry in the other room. Why am I blogging rather than calling a friend. Well, it's simple really. I am seated at the dining room table on the laptop. The baby is in the highchair to my right finishing up some finger food. My 6 year old is seated to my left doing her best to finish her dinner to secure a treat later. Directly ahead of me is my 9 year old who is playing some sort o...
