Nothing Like Sale Pants

Headed to the Y this morning for a little swim with a workout from SwimPlan.com.  Would have been better if I didn't have to stop after each set and cough my guts out.  Worked on bi-lateral breathing, and somehow, things clicked in my universe and I can breathe comfortably on my left side as well as the right.

That also means that I can get water in my left ear as well as the right.  Not so much a problem with the massive amounts of congestion blocking the way.

I am such a ray of sunshine.

Came home and made myself the Mother of All Omelets... Oh, three delicious eggs wrapped around sauteed spinach, mushrooms and diced onion, sprinkled with a little shredded cheddar.   The only thing that does you justice is two slices of 100% whole wheat toast with a scraping of real butter and a cup of black coffee to wash it all down.

Asked all children present if they would like to have some eggs - no takers.  Left hubby at the gym to pound out his 1st Half Marathon of the year.  On the treadmill.  He's the MAN.

Marathon training in Nebraska.  In winter.  Yay.

On the way back from dropping our oldest daughter  at a friends for the night, I stopped to check some clearance racks at Shopko.  One of my clients gave me a generous gift card to use - so I try to get the most bang for the bucks I was given.

Great finds!  The brand and style of cropped pants I love, love, love were available in full pants and on clearance for $9.40!  There was ONE pair in my size that I, of course, bought - and two $3 shirts!  I even drove to another Shopko and found another pair in black!

Back to the home front and a little baking.  Cinnamon rolls for Sunday School Class tomorrow.  Would love to eat them all...the only way I can bake things like that is to take them someplace for others.

I am SO sick of counting calories.  I'm actually thinking of trying Intermittent Fasting to see if that will shake things up.  One day, you eat Breakfast and Lunch, the next day you eat Dinner.  Supposedly, your body dips in to it's fat stores during the fast.  I don't know...it sounds good...all except for the NOT EATING part!

Maybe I can see this training cycle through and see if I can drop a few pounds after my May marathon.

Any ideas about Intermittent Fasting/Feeding?  What have you heard?

  1. All I can say about fasting is--I could NEVER do it!

Nice grabs on the sales. You scored.

I learned to bilateral breathe way back when and it was one of the best things I've ever done w/ swimming. You'll be thankful you have it many times over.
