Time Flies

Where has this week gone already? I haven't even written anything in my blogs for a couple of days, and my email support group is talking without me! I love that group of ladies, they support each other with love and guidance and most of them have never met! If you are interested in a daily email about health and fitness and the struggles of all that, email me and I will add you. I have been very busy and very successful in my home business this week. When it rains it pours, right? I have started training others to do what I do and it has been so rewarding helping others. Not only do I get to educate women about safer, healthier, less expensive alternatives for thier homes, but I get to help them build a solid income for thier families to!


I don't have to sell anything or have any of THOSE parties, either. Been there with the candle thing.


I can't believe it! Honestly, when I started this back in May I figured since I could get my $29 back I would just give it a go. I didn't believe that it was for real and nothing could convince me like a little honest to goodness experience.


Liam had his root canal...or the second step of it anyway. Geesh, I didn't realize there was three steps to this thing and about $300 too. Praise the Lord for our credit card. Didn't think I would ever say that! But the little guy seems to be doing well. We have to go back for the crown next week, which I learned isn't permenant and will likely need to be replaced in a couple of years.


The little girls are doing well. Alahnnah is chomping to start back to school and our little Susan is going to walk any second. She started giving kisses and says a handful of works. Her hair is SO long and straight! And blonde!! Oh, man, where did my baby go?? Time to have another one...wait, I need to loose these extra 15 pounds first! Ack!!

Lincoln Marathon Race Report

Another beautiful Spring day in Nebraska, another year running the Lincoln National Guard Marathon and Half Marathon! David and I rode our bikes to the start of the race, as we do each year.  Since they recently moved the start line, to accommodate more runners, we need to change where we rack our bikes! The weather on the Saturday before the race was terrible!  Our 11yo daughter, Alahnnah, ran the KFRX Mayor's Run and it was miserable.  It was about 35 degrees with 20mph winds and rain.  We had discouraged the girls from participating - but when a kid tells you "Mom, we signed up for it, we need to do it" - you have to do it. Miss A giving me "the look" Thankfully, Sunday was a little better.  The temps were hovering around 40 and there was no rain.  The wind had died down a bit, but it was still chilly!  I dressed in a t-shirt and a jacket when last year I ran in a tank top! Woohoo for Week Two + *sad face*

Week Two of training for the Legend 70 went great! Since Week One  was a little weak-sauce, I aimed for perfection for week two.  I stuck to my eating, relaxing and training plans to a "T". Monday - Took a 2.5 mile walk on the treadmill while watching The Walking Dead, stretch and foam rolled.  I did 30 minutes of yoga after work and let myself have some time to relax and decompress. Tuesday - Jumped out of bed for a 45 minute run and a 20 minute strength routine.  Still was struggling a little bit with tight chestedness from last week, but we got through it. Tuesday PM - went to the pool for a 45 minute swim.  My friend who just had bariatric surgery went with me and did her pool laps, too.  I am really proud of her! Wednesday - woke up a bit tired from heavy training the day before, but put my best effort into a 45 minute bike and 15 minute run.  If you do them one right after the other it's called a "brick." Transparency

I have a friend who has said more than once that she loves me for my transparency. I hold nothing back about myself. There are no secrets. In the appropriate setting, I am willing to tell you everything. If you really want to know. Prior to my life as of now, I had a life that you might not think was very pretty. I don't know how to say this, other than, I was a mess. There were times in my life that I just worked a job only so I could have money to use and drink. I didn't have money to pay rent for very long, so I would move in and move out. A lot. I put utilities in my son's name one time just to get them turned on. I stole checks from my Mom and forged her name. I stole food out of my neighbors refrigerator because she forgot to lock the door when she left. I broke in to my friends houses when I knew they weren't home. I sold things that were not mine for money to buy drugs. I was a pitiful excuse for a human being.
